The process of creating a logo for a made up company is a bit more difficult that I anticipated. In Adobe Illustrator, I developed a group of merchandising and marketing materials for a fictional apparel retailer. As a total package, the materials represent the business of an upscale consignment clothing shop called sew simple. Therefore, a stranger should be able to look at them and know what type of product I sell and my target market. In AT 375, a class called Computer Tech for Merchandising, we were taught how to draw in Illustrator and with that knowledge, I created six components that completed a merchandising and marketing package for this fictional business. In order of appearance there is a logo, a business card, a direct mailer (front and back), a hangtag (front and back), a letterhead and envelope, and an interior store sign.
